Confidence comes from feeling at home in the skin you’re in

I’ve worked in beauty and skin wellbeing for over thirty years, and my work has evolved naturally over that time. I began in hair and makeup, and became known for creating natural, timeless bridal looks for women who want to feel like themselves on their wedding day — not masked, overdone or rushed.

Alongside this, I’ve always been curious about skin. Why it reacts the way it does. Why it feels calm at times and unsettled at others. And what actually helps it return to balance. That curiosity led me to train in advanced facial massage, facial reflexology and, more recently, corneotherapy - a skin barrier-first, science-informed approach that marked a real turning point in how I understand skin health.

Over time, my work has deepened into a more holistic approach to facial therapy - one that considers the wider effects on the body as well as the face, and recognises how stress, tension and emotional holding can show up in the skin. It deepened my awareness of how important it is for people to feel safe, relaxed, and unjudged for real change to happen.

My practice blends hands-on, restorative facial work with a minimalist, considered approach to skincare. I don’t believe in overwhelming the skin or the person. Instead, I focus on rhythm, regulation and helping people reconnect with their skin - learning to listen to it, trust it and support it over time.

Whether I’m standing beside a bride on her wedding morning or working with someone through a series of facials, my approach is calm, bespoke and deeply personal. Real beauty, to me, is feeling at ease in your own skin.

I want to help you feel beautiful

on your wedding day and beyond!

Self-love is foundational to my business. I always tell my brides about the importance of looking after themselves and avoiding invasive treatments or chemical products. I’ve made my life’s work out of helping people feel confident.

But it’s not always easy and something I struggle with myself from time to time. But the thing with self-love and confidence is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s all about being a little kinder to ourselves. And speaking to yourself with the same grace you give others. When we work together, I’ll always stand in your corner and empower you to be your most honest, authentic self. But I want you to know that I’m on the journey with you.

A few things about

Lesley McCormick Natural Bridal Hair & Makeup Stylist & Holistic Facialist

I love to dance. When I’m not working with my clients in my lovely home studio, you can find me on the dance floor. I’m big into my Jive classes and dances. Focusing on the dance steps is like a form of meditation.

I started learning piano at the ripe age of 52. My grandpa was a pianist, and I always grew up with music. Of course, playing the piano was the last thing I wanted to do as a child, so I gave it up. It’s been my life’s regret. So, I thought, ‘sod it, it’s never too late to start something new. (Don’t worry; I won’t play you anything when you come in for your hair & make-up trial. I’ll spare you, haha.)

These are a few of my favourite things:

  • Hanging out with my two gorgeous golden retrievers, Paddy & Elvis

  • Getting my skates on and whooshing around an outdoor ice-ink

  • Escaping to my seaside caravan for the weekend

  • Catching up with friends in cosy coffee shops

  • Going to watch musical theatre (I’d go every week if I had my way!)
